Photography Service Terms

These public terms explain Storyhome Photography’s standard payment, cancellation, delivery, print, and image-use approach. A booking is not complete until the customer and Storyhome sign a written agreement and the reservation payment clears. The signed agreement controls if it differs from this page.

1. Reservation and final payment

A 50% reservation retainer is due after the written scope is approved and the agreement is signed. The retainer compensates Storyhome for reserving the date and turning away conflicting work and is non-refundable except when Storyhome cancels and cannot provide the agreed service. The remaining 50% must be paid in full no later than seven calendar days before coverage. Storyhome may decline to perform or deliver work while an agreed balance remains unpaid.

2. Customer cancellation

Cancellation must be delivered through the contact method stated in the signed agreement. The effective cancellation time is when Storyhome receives the notice.

3. Rescheduling and events outside either party’s control

Rescheduling is subject to availability and a written amendment. Weather, venue restrictions, illness, emergencies, and other events outside either party’s reasonable control are handled under the signed agreement. No automatic transfer, credit, or refund is promised by this public page.

4. Galleries and delivery

Image count, editing scope, delivery estimate, gallery availability period, download permissions, and any video deliverables must appear in the signed agreement. Raw or unedited files are not included unless stated in writing. Private gallery links and client credentials must not be shared publicly.

5. Prints

Available premium-luster prints are 5×7 for $15, 8×10 for $25, and 11×14 for $45, before applicable tax and shipping. The customer approves the selected image and crop before production. Personalized print orders are final unless damaged or materially defective when delivered. Damage or defect claims must include photographs of the item and packaging within seven calendar days after delivery.

6. Image use and marketing permission

Customers receive the personal-use and print rights stated in their agreement; copyright does not transfer unless expressly stated in writing. Storyhome will not treat marketing use as automatic consent. Any portfolio, website, advertising, or social-media use of identifiable client photographs requires a separate written model or image-use release, and declining that release does not change the purchased photography service.

7. Checkout and taxes

Stripe-hosted checkout may be used only after Storyhome issues an approved payment request tied to a signed agreement. Customers should not submit payment-card information through email or the inquiry form. Applicable taxes and shipping are shown before an order is confirmed when required.

8. Review before launch

This page is an operational draft and is not a substitute for legal advice. Storyhome should have Michigan counsel review the signed photography agreement, cancellation language, model release, privacy terms, and consumer disclosures before enabling public checkout.
